Montreal, November 24, 2006 - It was with sadness that the members of CREPUQ learned of the departure of UQAM Rector Roch Denis, who is also President of CREPUQ.

“Mr. Denis’s accomplishments as President of CREPUQ have been outstanding. He has shown vision and leadership in defending and promoting Québec universities and has proved to be a very effective spokesperson, particularly with regard to the issue of university underfunding. An esteemed and respected colleague is leaving us,” declared CREPUQ Vice Presidents Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice Chancellor of McGill University, and Michel Pigeon, Rector of Université Laval.
