CREPUQ launches new blog in anticipation of the higher education summit : www.universites-avenir.ca

Montreal, November 29, 2012 – The Conference of Rectors and Principals of Quebec Universities (CREPUQ) today launched a blog in anticipation of the Higher Education Summit.

By adding our voice to discussions already under way in Web 2.0 forums, we hope to contribute to the current conversation on the future of our universities,” said CREPUQ Director General Daniel Zizian, who will be posting regularly.

People can join the conversation with CREPUQ via the French-language blog (www.universites-avenir.ca), the organization’s Twitter feed (@CREPUQsommet) or at Google+.

Articles published at the site will deal with issues and concerns throughout the university system and follow what’s happening at the Summit. Coverage will include topics currently in the news regarding the quality of university teaching and research, enrolment and access to a university education, governance, funding and the multiple ways in which universities contribute to Quebec society.

CREPUQ includes all 19 Quebec universities. The organization acts as their voice in relations with government and milieus concerned with university education and research. It also fosters coordination and collaboration between universities, is a research centre for university administrations, acts as a centre for coordination and joint service delivery, and is a resource centre and think tank for its members.
